“ Visited Deens Maju Nasi Kandar on a weekday and arrived around 11:30am. The stall only opens its gates at 12pm, so there was no queue yet at first, but people gradually started lining up closer to opening time. I overheard a local saying the queue is usually very long, but because it’s currently Ramadan, it’s slightly more manageable. The queue moves really quickly once they open. You can choose between white rice, nasi tomato, or nasi dalcha. Definitely go for the fried chicken — juicy, tender, and perfect with the curry. ”
“ We tried their nasi kandar with ayam goreng, udang kari, ayam bawang, and kubis goreng, and everything tasted good. The highlight was definitely the kuah campur, which was rich, flavourful, and well balanced. Worth the 10-minute queue. Prices are reasonable, and the washrooms were clean with plenty available. Parking is available across the road; we arrived around 11.40am and still found a spot. Do bring an umbrella as it can get quite hot while queuing. ”
“ This is the best Nasi Kandar in Penang bar none! We were waiting in line for about 40 minutes on Tuesday for lunch, and we were glad we stuck it out. The foods were so great. We ordered lamb shank ( a special order that costs a bit more money), then we loaded up our order with nasi daca, ayam goreng, grilled prawn, vegetable, eggs, grilled squid and covered over by their special curry flavor sauce. The price is very reasonable for all of this. ”
